It is early in the morning and the small community of “West Parlier” in Parlier, CA is getting their pride and joy ready for the day. As the sun slowly clears the majestic Sierra Nevada, the people begin to steadily walk and drive to a central place. The parents and children respectfully greet each other as they converge on site. As the bell rings, the children begin to walk to their class, and the parents begin to walk home and drive to work. They leave with the assurance that their children are in good hands, that their day will be enriched, and that they will receive the best education possible, for they are now at John C. Martínez Elementary School. "Semper Ascendens"

Es temprano por la mañana y la pequeña comunidad del “Oeste de Parlier” en Parlier, CA está preparando a sus pequeños para el día. Se retiran con la seguridad de que sus hijos están en buenas manos, que su día será enriquecido, y que recibirán la mejor educación posible, puesto que ahora están en la Escuela Primaria John C.
